The International Juventutem Federation is organization for young Catholics (aged 18 to 35) with interest in and love of the Traditional Latin Mass, also known as the Extraordinary Form and the ‘Tridentine Mass’ or ‘Gregorian Mass’. Juventutem young adults work the sanctification of youth using the traditional forms of sacraments – most obviously, the Traditional Latin Mass – both at triennial World Youth Days as well as in local dioceses and parishes. They are good standing with the Church and obedient to her Magisterium. They have received letters of praise from Cardinal Levada of the CDF. The name ‘Juventutem’ itself is the Latin word for youth and it appears in the opening lines of the traditional Mass.
The Juventutem Michigan core team would willing to organize one-time Juventutem Mass & Dinner anywhere in state, if joint-request is submitted by least five young adult from that town.
The founding members of Juventutem Michigan are concentrated in Ann Arbor and the Archdiocese of Detroit; beginning in fall 2012 or sooner, monthly Masses and monthly catechetical parties will be organized in Metro Detroit.
Any young adult Catholic resident the State of Michigan who is attached the Traditional Latin Mass can become member of Juventutem Michigan; the commitments are:
- to pray the psalm Judica me or some other prayer each day for the sanctification of youth
- to visit a church and adore Our Lord, once a week (can be before or after Sunday Mass)
- to attend the TLM at least once a year
- to go to confession once a year
- to participate at least one Juventutem event once a year
- to annually support the International Juventutem Federation head office with prayer and funds
A Federação Internacional Juventutem é uma organização para jovens católicos (de 18 a 35 anos) com interesse e amor pela Missa Tradicional em Latim, também conhecida como “Forma Extraordinária”, “Missa Tridentina” ou “Missa Gregoriana”. Os jovens da Juventutem trabalham para a santificação da juventude usando as formas tradicionais dos Sacramentos – mais obviamente, a Missa Tradicional em Latim – tanto nos trienais Dias Mundiais da Juventude, quanto nas dioceses e paróquias locais. Eles estão em plena conformidade com a Igreja e são obedientes ao seu Magistério. Eles receberam cartas de elogio do Cardinal Levada da Congregação para a Doutrina da Fé. O próprio nome “Juventutem” é uma palavra em latim para juventude e aparece nas falas iniciais da Missa tradicional.
O time central da Juventutem Michigan está disposto a organizar um único evento de Missa e Jantar Juventutem em qualquer parte do estado, se um abaixo-assinado for submetido por pelo menos cinco jovens daquela cidade.
Os membros fundadores da Juventutem Michigan estão concentrados em Ann Arbor e na Arquidiocese de Detroit: no mais tardar, a partir do terceiro trimestre de 2012, Missas e eventos catequéticos mensais serão organizados na região metropolitana de Detroit.
Qualquer jovem católico residente do estado de Michigan que tenha apego pela Missa Tradicional em Latim pode-se tornar um membro da Juventutem Michigan; os compromissos são:
- rezar o salmo Judica me ou alguma outra oração todos os dias pela santificação da juventude
- visitar uma igreja e adorar Nosso Senhor, uma vez por semana (pode ser feito antes ou depois da Missa dominical)
- atender à Missa Tradicional em Latim ao menos uma vez por ano
- confessar-se ao menos uma vez por ano
- participar de pelo menos um evento da Juventutem por ano
- suportar anualmente o escritório central da Federação International Juventutem com orações e fundos
